Fatima Day Trip from Cascais

Fatimais considered one of the major catholic santuaries in Europe, and certainly a place not to be missed for any catholic visiting Portugal. Located 1h from Lisbon and Cascais, it’s a great day trip for first time visitors to Portugal.
There are several options to visit Fatima from Cascais, depending on the time you have available and your preferences. During high season (March to October), and specially during the celebrations of May, is strongly recommended to hire a private guide, if possible with transportation, to avoid the crowds and the traffic in Fatima, which often can be a nightmare. Public transportation is extremely difficult to find to reach Fatima from Cascais, and therefore only a Taxi Service or a Private Tour would be recommended.
Fatima receives every year more than 5 million visitors, and one of the most important sacred places in the world, so close to Lisbon and Cascais. There are many places to be visited in Fatima such as: Chapel of the Apparitions, Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary, including the tombs of the Saints, Most Holy Trinity Basilica, Candle Processions, Rosary and Mass (several times per day), Via-Sacra (Sacred Route of Fatima), and of course Valinhos and the houses of the children, now Saints Jacinta and Francisco.
Here are some suggestions to visit Fatima from Cascais:
1) Get a Taxi from Cascais
2) Hire a Private Guide with transportation on a private tour: https://lisbonprivatetours.com/fatima-day-trip-from-cascais/
