Douro Valley is located in the north of Portugal, about 4h driving time from Lisbon, the capital.
The options to reach Douro Valley are several, but the easiest is definitely by car. There is no direct train line, or bus, and once arrived there, you will need transportation to reach your hotel, since the area is quite wide (countryside).
